The Bulb Region has traditionally been the center of flower bulb cultivation and export. Especially during the flowering season, many activities are organized in the region, such as the flower parade and flower mosaics.
HM van Haaster is closely involved in several of these activities.
Flower Parade
The Flower Parade in the Bollenstreek region is a parade featuring floats adorned with spring flowers. The flowers are placed on the floats, creating beautiful works of art. The approximately 42 km route passes through eight villages, seven municipalities, and two provinces (North Holland and South Holland). The parade usually takes place on the third or fourth Saturday of April.
Mosaics
This is an annual event in the Bollenstreek region. Several villages host it. During this competition, the most beautiful flower mosaics can be admired throughout the village for free. The mosaics are created by neighborhood associations, schools, businesses, and enthusiastic residents who compete for eternal fame.
Keukenhof
Keukenhof is a flower park in Lisse. Over eight weeks, Keukenhof showcases the best of Dutch floriculture. Seven million spring-flowering bulbs from 100 exhibitors have been planted in the park. In more than 20 flower shows, 500 flower growers present cut flowers and potted plants in all their diversity. HM van Haaster is one of the exhibitors, and our beautiful garden can be admired at Keukenhof.
